The wood is processed with a 60 series Cord King that does about 4 to 6 cords per hour. It loads it directly into the dump truck, then it is dumped into the barn. The cut wood is stored under cover and seasoned.
The pieces are all hardwood cut 16" to 18" in length. We have excellent quality dry firewood available for delivery in southern Maine.
WOOD DESCRIPTION
When the wood lengths go through the processor there are strips of wood that brake off and some of the bark falls off. Some people use these pieces for kindling wood to start the fire, but it does leave a mess on the ground when the wood is piled up. Our wood is all hardwood, mostly maple and oak, and stored in a barn.
We select and cut our own land and we clear lots on excavating jobs we do.
Our Cord King processes the hardwood firewood at about 4 to 6 cords per hour.
Our dry ready-to-burn firewood is cut to a reasonable length and delivered to you.
